a great post. I will just add one thought: what would it be like if we did not have the word "stress"? We might well find ourselves drawing on all the other words our language provides--anxious, frustrated, disappointed, angry. In my own life, I aim to use those more specific words rather than the more general word stress. I find that they can help me think of solutions...including moving and breathing, as well as learning.

I always think, ‘The last thing I need is more reading;’ yet I’ve read each of your posts and found them to be thoughtfully relevant and very well written. I really appreciate the cognitive wellness you offer through these. And a shout out to the whole WFM team from a big fan!

Dr. Bregman, I'm enjoying reading your columns! At some point would you be willing to share the regular routine you've constructed for yourself? I think it might inspire me, at least, to see how someone as busy as you are fits it into the day, and keeps it going. -Kate
