The beauty of the human mind we are complex individuals sometimes we are predictable and then something happens and we change our minds. I’ve been trying to lose 10lbs but then I’m surrounded by family and food and making memories and food and great times are connected for me and I always end up choosing sentimentality.

But Stoppard also addresses a fundamental, violent conundrum in a post-Holocaust world: Is the thirst for murder a symptom of mankind’s unpredictability — or innate in our nature? Is the answer unknowable? Or is it just the chocolate sauce we slather on the profiterole to muddle the boundary between protective carapace and defenseless viscera?
